Emily Notman - 3D Landscape Wrap (Week 2 of 2)
In this two week workshop, you will create your own 3D textile wrap using contemporary mixed media techniques and textural applique. Whether you choose to design a landscape or an abstract piece, the first week will explore building surface texture with hand-stitch. Once your base is established, you'll apply your chosen colour scheme using paint, adding depth and vibrancy to your work. During the second session your piece will then be enhanced with embroidery, fibre techniques, and textural applique, before being carefully constructed into the round. Your finished piece will stand alone as a sculptural textile or can be designed to wrap around a vase or jar.
No experience is needed.
